The events of the past few weeks have yet again shined a spotlight on racial injustice in our country. Like you, we at Advancement Courses have been angered and horrified to witness these egregious acts of violence, and we grieve for those affected.

We hear you. We see you. We stand by you.

At Advancement Courses, we believe no one should live in fear due to their skin color, faith, country of birth, or who they love. We will not tolerate hate, racism, discrimination, or brutality of any kind. And we reject those who sow division through their words, actions, or indifference.

Our work is fueled by the firm knowledge that education has the power to change the world—and that educators play a vital role in the battle against racism, inequity, and injustice.  

While we have several courses currently in our catalog on topics such as culturally responsive teaching, social justice, courageous dialogue, and multicultural instruction, we recognize our responsibility to do more. To that end, we are investing in the immediate development of several more courses regarding racial justice and equity, diversity, black history, and antiracism.

Included in this new content will be a set of courses and resources available to everyone, for free.

As a beginning, we’ve curated a list of classroom tools and teaching resources to help get you started on this crucial mission. We’ll continue to add to this list in the coming weeks, and invite you to share your thoughts, ideas, and any other input as well.

As a company, and as a part of Wiley, we are taking immediate actions to reaffirm diversity, equity, and inclusion – and while it’s critical to start within, we are also donating to organizations that drive impact, including Black Lives Matter, The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Amnesty International,Minds Matter, and Teaching for Change.
