Free Micro Course: Building Relationships in Online Learning
Shifting to online learning remains a challenging feat. One of the toughest challenges many educators face is translating their relationship-building efforts across digital platforms. Throughout this free micro course, teachers receive strategies for nurturing impactful relationships with students, staff, families, the community, and themselves.
Educators will explore formal and informal means for engaging with these groups in the virtual classroom. In addition, teachers will examine ways to support learners through traumatic times in an online setting, better preparing them to support their learners in the most comprehensive way.
Learning Outcomes:
This free micro course enables educators teaching in an online classroom to:
- Create strategies for building and maintaining relationships.
- Plan ways to foster relationships with staff members, colleagues, family members, and caregivers.
- Establish routines and strategies for practicing self-care when delivering non-traditional instruction.
Upon completion of this micro course, you will receive a certificate from Advancement Courses notating that you’ve earned 3 PD hours, at no cost to you.
Applicability of professional development hours varies from state to state. Please follow your district or governing body’s approval process to verify acceptance. Though we are an approved provider in IL, MT, NY, PA, and WA, these states require additional PD reporting not available in our micro courses.
